How Your Subconscious Programming Affects Your Manifestation Success


So often, people believe the common myth that the most important step towards manifesting your goals is creating and maintaining a consistent manifestation practice. While a daily practice is important and can help you manifest your desires, there is something else that is just as - if not more - important: Your subconscious programming.

You can do your daily manifestation practice consistently day after day, week after week, and month after month, but if your subconscious mind is not on board with what you are trying to manifest, you will be fighting an uphill battle.

Here are three ways your subconscious programming is more important to your manifestation success than your daily practice.

#1 – Your Subconscious Desires

First, let’s talk about the good way your subconscious mind is blocking your manifestation success. Yes, there is in fact a good side to this story. 


Time and time again, I see people who set their goals based on what they think they should want or what they think is the next logical step for them in their careers, business, relationships, or any aspect of life. I often refer to this as ego-based goal setting. And while the ego has its uses, for lasting manifestation to take place, you need to practice soul aligned goal setting. 


Your powerful subconscious mind is Ware. Your intuition is based. Your intuition is the part of you that knows what is best for you at every point in your life and knows exactly what you need to do to achieve the goals that are for your highest good and greatest benefit. If your ego-based goals are not for your highest good or greatest benefit, your intuition will always lead you in another direction.


Rather than spinning your wheels attempting to manifest goals that are not right for you at this point in time, you can use the power of your subconscious mind and intuition to gain clarity on what is right for you right now. Through self-hypnosis, intuitive, journaling, and spiritual connection, you can gain a new level of clarity to set soul-aligned goals that will make manifestation easier and longer lasting.


In this way, your subconscious mind is moving you towards the desire that is best for you and away from goals that won’t serve you in the long run.


#2 – Your Subconscious Beliefs

Now for the not so helpful side of things. While your subconscious mind always has your best interest in mind, it often tries to keep us safe by keeping within your comfort zone. To keep you safely within that comfort zone, your subconscious mind clings onto beliefs that may not have your highest good and greatest benefit in mind.


Limiting beliefs take many forms, such as the belief that you’re not smart enough, not qualified enough, or not likeable enough. It could be that the economy is bad, so you’ll never find a job you love or sign enough clients to make your business a success. It could be that someone else deserves it more, so you shy away from the opportunities you have. Just to name a few!


Sometimes these beliefs are formed early on in childhood. It could be things we were told as we were growing up. It could be a conversation we overheard. It could also be something much more recent in your life. However, the source of these limiting beliefs is not the most important part because what caused it may have been misinterpreted by us at some point in time, so rather than dwelling on the cause it is more beneficial to reframe it in a new way that is more beneficial for you.


What is more important is recognizing their existence in the effect that they have on you now brings your awareness to them. Once you are aware of how these limiting beliefs are holding you back, you can reprogram your mind to release these beliefs and replace them with new empowering beliefs. Once you reframe or release these beliefs, you begin to believe in yourself, your power of manifestation, your worthiness and so much more, which opens the doors to manifestation.


#3 – Your Subconscious Habits

One of the reasons are subconscious beliefs are so powerful is because they often inform our habits. Habits are more than just actions we take each day. They are subconscious actions that we have grown accustomed to that are affecting our lives in ways. We may not even be aware of.


Habits can be both good and bad for us. Drinking a glass of water when you first wake up in the morning - good habit. Smoking a cigarette when you first wake up in the morning - bad habit. However, it is very possible that both of these habits were formed for the same benefit - to help the individual wake up in the morning.


So, when you were dealing with subconscious beliefs that are not in your best interest, you may have built subconscious habits around them to reinforce them that are also not in your best interest. When you reprogram your subconscious mind to release these unhelpful habits, you can replace them with habits that will move you towards your goals rather than keeping you from them.


Bonus tip - anytime you attempt to release a negative habit whether it’s through hypnosis or any other method, it is important to replace it with a new beneficial habit. If you attempt to simply release it without replacing it with something new, your subconscious mind will fill in the void with whatever it thinks is best based on your current beliefs. This is also why releasing limiting beliefs along with changing habits makes change easier and longer lasting.
